Silver Creek Duo
“Silver Creek” is a musical duo comprised of the husband and wife team of Robert and Deborah Carothers. Performing an eclectic mix of classic rock, Motown, southern rock, country, folk, and blues, Silver Creek appeals to an audience of all ages and diverse musical tastes. The act features the lead vocals of both Robert and Deborah, Robert’s guitar solos, saxophone and flute solos, Deborah’s instrumental accompaniment on guitar and/or keyboards, and a unique vocal harmony blend that comes from decades of singing together. Silver Creek is able to perform with a rhythm section provided by its own musical tracks to obtain a full band sound or acoustically without tracks for a more intimate setting.
The Carothers have opened for many national acts including B.J. Thomas, Bo Bice, Dave Mason, Nelson, Mark Farner of Grand Funk Railroad, Poco, Judas Priest, Bucky Covington, the Michael Stanley Band and Sonny Geraci. During the 70s, Robert Carothers was the musical director and guitarist for internationally acclaimed singer-songwriter Melanie of Woodstock fame (“Brand New Key”, “Look What They’ve Done to My Song.”) In 2008 Deborah Carothers was named by the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Museum as one of the Top Ten Professional Women Who Rock in Northeast Ohio. “Silver Creek” is available for corporate special events, fairs, clubs, and private parties. Whether it’s a rock-the-house party or a formal elegant affair, Silver Creek adapts to the occasion.
Silver Creek is based in Northeast Ohio but is available to travel and performs several months a year in Florida.
